How I Work

I offer 50-minute counselling sessions both online and in-person.

For online sessions I use Zoom. In-person sessions are at a central Coventry counselling centre which has free parking and is close to many bus stops and the railway station.

Online sessions can take place through live chat, voice or video call: whichever feels most comfortable that day. If you would like to have a mix of online and in-person sessions, that is ok too. I understand that energy and capacity fluctuate over time and I'm really open to accommodating this.

Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly and this can be changed as we go along to suit your needs.

Session rates

Online session: £30 - low income; £40 - standard rate; £50 - higher income.

In-person session: £40 - low income; £50 - standard rate; £60 higher income

Whether we meet online or in-person, I will do all I can to make the shared environment comfortable to you. We can adjust the lighting, seating and temperature. I will be wearing comfy clothes such as a hoodie and jogging bottoms. You are very much invited to dress comfortably too, have a drink handy, and stim if you want to. Eye contact is not something I ask for or comment on. If there’s anything I can do to make the shared space more accessible, let me know.

What to Expect

Sessions are a space for you to bring whatever feels most important to talk through in that moment. Some clients want to explore past experiences, some focus on current struggles. I empower you to direct our focus and to go at your own pace, so you only ever open up in a way that feels safe. You are welcome to share topics that you would like to explore by email if it would be helpful to have prompts and structure within the session. If a session has been particularly heavy, I will take the final minutes to help you become grounded and feel ready for the next part of your day.

I do not offer guidance or advice, but this doesn't mean I am passive in our relationship. I listen closely, ask questions to further my understanding of what you are sharing, and offer observations I make along the way. Counselling is a process of getting to know yourself more deeply through someone else taking the time to really get to know you, and coming to accept yourself more fully through someone else accepting you unconditionally.

What Next?

If it sounds like I might be the right counsellor for you, please get in touch using the contact form on the next page. I will offer you a free 15-minute online intro session where you can ask me any questions you may have and I will share a little more about myself and how I work. This is a no obligation chance for you to see how talking with me feels before deciding whether to book in for counselling sessions.
